Services

• Planning delivers detailed schedules and requirements based on the vessel’s dry-docking due dates monitored on behalf of the vessel’s owners/managers.
• Dry-dock management by TSS’ experienced staff who attend the vessel during the dry-docking as the owner’s representatives or as a supervisor overseeing the vessel’s managers.
• Negotiation and review. TSS identifies suitable shipyards, obtains quotations, reviews tenders and prepares comparison cost analysis spreadsheets. TSS will also review the shipyard's terms and conditions in order to enable owners to avoid any issues which would impact the
  dry-docking. TSS negotiates the award of the dry-docking and repair contract.
• Specifications: A stand alone independent service to review the dry-dock specification and to advise owners if the specification has been constructed to allow the shipyard to quote competitively. Alternatively TSS can write complete dry-dock specifications tailored to the owner's vessel.
• Technical Assistance in Crating Job Specifications and Job Orders
  On completion of the job specifications and drawings onboard the vessel a copy of the same is forwarded to our team. We carefully review the entire material for any errors and carry out any corrections by directly liaising with the vessel. We also provide floating support staff that sail on the vessel and help vessel staff to create job orders and drawings.
• Material Cost Estimation
  On completion of the job orders our team uses special software to calculate the estimated material consumption and cost for each individual job order. We are also able to predict the estimated timeline for completion of each task. We then use this information as a reference line while receiving quotations from ship yards.
• Ship Yard Selection
  We then forward the reviewed dry dock specifications to leading ship yards in the vessel’s current area of trade or other suitable locations depending on company’s preference to get quotations for the project. We compare these quotations intensively and make recommendations to the company office accordingly.
• Assistance to Superintendents for Documentation and Paperwork
  Once a dry–dock has been nominated, we provide assistance to superintendents by sending our representatives to the particular yard. Our representative assists the superintendent in the daily work, invoicing, accounts etc and uses the extensive support of our shore team to assure timely and efficient completion of all documentation and paper work all through the dry–dock.
